Map the shopping journeys
The team selected Mindfactory after comparing several possible redesign subjects. Competitor research and screen-flow mapping examined how people move between categories, products, saved items and checkout. Personas described different shopping goals, from replacing one part to assembling a PC. These scenarios helped organise needs and ideas before the team drew a proposed journey through the redesigned shop.

Work through the structure first
Sketches and low-fidelity prototypes explored possible layouts before the screens moved into a mid-fidelity stage. This made it possible to work through navigation and component selection across connected views. Several iterations then developed the final interface and Figma prototype. The process moved from the overall shopping journey towards the individual controls and information needed at each step.

Keep the whole build in view
The configurator presents the build through component categories, with selected parts marked and the current price visible beside them. Main components, accessories and services divide the choices into manageable groups. Visitors can start from a preset or configure a PC from the beginning. The final overview brings those separate decisions together before the configuration moves into the cart.

What I take from it
The PC configurator gives the redesign a concrete focus: individual product choices need to remain understandable as parts of a larger build. Mapping that journey helped connect page structure with the decisions made along the way.
